Holeshots or Razrs

I have the 23X7X10 and 22X11X9 Razrs and love them. They hook up so much better than the stock Kendas. The DS looks like it should have came with the 22/23" tires from the factory. I went with the 2" bigger tires for the ground clearance in the snow. They made a huge difference. I really don't know why that guy at Ronnie's would say the 6 ply fronts are no good. For trail riding, I would definitely want the 6 ply front and rear. I got the 4 ply rears and have a hole in the sidewall already. I can't comment on the Holeshots since I've never had them. The Razrs have treated me very well.

No you will not have to remove the front fenders. But it will be a close fit.
I also tried the 23/22 razors. But have since taken them off. I am currently running the 22/20 Ohutus. I prefer the Ohutus. They have better hookup and I can tell a noticeable difference in power. The 23/22 really slowed the bike down in the low to mid range. Of course the top end is faster with the 23/22 but it’s not often I’m running wide open for miles This is on a 2000 DS650 with piped and jetted.
My bike is currently in the shop getting a Stage II. So I'll try the 23/22 again with the new found horse power and see what happens. I do miss the added ground clearance of the 23/22 though. But like the other guys said the Razors don’t do so well in the sand, they just spin and spin. The good think is the 23/22 will help with the rev limiter being hit so early in 1st and 2nd, but so will a 17” sprocket and it’s a lot cheaper.
