After bending my Ron Woods exhaust, Im back to the stocker, an end cap mod is sounding very appealing.

Hey Knutz, What size jet did you use in the testing.. Or was it jetted? You said A filter, rev box and end cap were the only mods.. Almost 52 hp is very impressive.

BiggerisBetter, Not all your end caps were 2.5 in. Mine was 2 1/4 in dia.

Great stuff Don! I'm surprised the first cap did so poorly, just goes to show you how reliable seat of the pants dynos are. With the 2.5" outlet comfirmed as the way to go, that can lead to only more experiments. Or market your design, 'cause with 8 additional hp at 3500 rpm it has to be a true winner. Build it and they will sell! Thanks for testing my endcaps, I owe you. Next time I'm in Vegas, the girls are on me. LOL.

BiggerisBetter, My DS feels real strong with the HMF slip-on. It feels like it might make a little more power than the End cap.Mostly on bottem. But it pulls hard all the way through.

Well after continuosly riding a DS with a pipe and one with an end cap. If I didnt have a pipe I dont think I would spend the 300-500 for a new one until I went into the internal of the motor. Even then I think the head pipe is the restriction and not the endcap.
