Well first of all I must start with saying THANK YOU to everyone for the great hospitality. Most of all to Jet and his Dad for putting up with me for the whole weekend, you guys were awesome, thanks again. As everyone here well knows, what makes riding so great is riding with great people, there wasn't one person there that wasn't really cool to hang with.
I know a few want to know my thoughts on Sand Mtn. so here they are. The Mtn. is huge, really huge. I was very impressed with the varriety of hills you can ride. There is mildly steep and tall to very steep and tall(the wall). Size wize for total riding area, sand wise, is a bit small compared to others but more than enough for a good three day weekend of riding. You dont have to even shoot the hill and still have tons of riding. So is it fit for DS Days, YES!!! I think we can still easily have DS days there without the permits and have a blast. there were a ton of DS's there along with thousands of others and the BLM never even turned a head our dirrection. In other word they wouldn't even know it was DS's Days at that. So I say GAME ON!!!! Clear your schedules and start planning on being there. You wont regret it.
So what all happened, well lets start with quads.....Jeff's is everything you think it should be. The 760 looked fantastic and it's faster than it even looks. Your welcome Jeff on helping ya but really I should be thanking you for alowing me to get to know that quad a bit, made my whole weekend just getting to tinker with it a bit. Out of the dog house yet? Anyways I will tell you it runs awesome without NOS and flat out amazing with. When he would hit the button it was like a second motor kicked in and he would just pull away from anyone near him, all that only with 44HP though. Sorry to say the Shee's still ruled the hill though. Another thing though is his Baja is no slouch either. I was lucky enough to ride it and I was dreaming about it the whole way home, with the Works shocks, a-arms, stabilizer, ect, the thing road and drove like a dream. I could fly through just about anything and feel totally in control and comfortable at a much higher rate of speed then I can on the Demon. Unfortonatly AZsands machine was having some jetting problems and I didn't get to see it run much, but it is a way cool bike. Is your Daughters hand/wrist ok?
One thing I must tell everyone that is doing some traveling to different areas is to get you either a jet kit or make you one. Nothing sucks worse than get to an area after tons of traveling and hardly get to ride. I luckily had mine and was able to jet up the two sizes I needed to keep it running good. Lucky for me Jeff had two extra bowl screws though or I would have been down and out, THANKS on that too Jeff. I was very happy with how well the Demon ran at the Mtn, There were alot of Raptors and Cannons that were there and a few new Z400's(slow). I don't see what everyone is gettin all worked up about shootin the hill with a Cannondale, they might be faster at flat drags but shootin the hill, they werent all that impressive at that. One had a pipe on it though and man was it loud, WAY COOL. Not trying to start anything, They are still an awesome bike, it was just a big discussion item all weekend about how we all were suprized at the lack of hill shooting performance. The Drag shee's and such were amazing. It was fun watching them but having to listen to them all weekend sucked big time.
A few highlights of the weekend were watching the big drags. See Jeffs pics for that one. And the wet T-shirt contest was way cool. I was suprized at the amount of women participating, wild man wild. Saturday was truly a fun, way fun day. In fact it took most of Sunday to recover from Saturday. It's now my goal to learn how to do that. Have to get a grab bar fist since I bent my other one and no the pipe didn't even get a scratch. Watching Jeff's 760 on NOS was a thrill, you should have seen how jacked he was LOL. I dont blame him, I would have went crazy. Overall it was a very fun weekend and well worth the drive. Anyone want to add more to this, please do. I can't beleive after a big three day weekend this is all you guys have to say!!
Ohhhhh, since I know it will come up eventually I am saving the wall and the bowl for the next visit

Sorry to everyone for not participating more in rides, etc but I was pretty bummed about my quad overheating every 3 miles. I think its cause my fan broke and still being attached it acted like insulation instead of dissapating heat.
Spent most of the weekend trashed watching dvds.
Anyway looking forward to next time, hope to participate more.

I got some pics on my video camera but it was way far off and nt digital. Sorry!!
I knew she was going to be sore. Looked burned pretty good.
You guys should come out for DS Days, I would be glad tolet you take the Demon out agin for a spin as long as you do a few wheelies for me to gauck at.
Glad to see ya made it OK!!!

<< Hey Al how did your ds run ? can you feel a big diff compared to before?? >>
Once we fixed the problem it ran great.
As I told Don this morning, I was having a hard time trying to tell if it had anything more than before. I have really not ridden it since New Years and I had to change gearing for the much bigger hill.
We are going to get it on the dyno as soon as Don is ready for it.
