GBC Paddle Masters
#2
I guess that nobody has tried them out yet? They look pretty good. I can't find much information on any of the other forums either. Oh well, they're cheap enough, that I may order some and let everyone know how they work.

Sooner... I never had the paddle masters, but I talked to a guy in Glamis that had them on his DS. He said they were ok once you got moving but the robbed alot of power. He had a Big Gun pipe, jet kit and a K&N filter and almost had to down shif to second on Olds hill. He did say that he used them up at the cinders after a light snow and they were awsome.
Good luck, let us know if you get them and how they work.

That makes about the third complaint I've heard now about those tires robbing power. You wouldn't think that it would be that noticable on a DS because of all the power & torque they have, but I'm starting to have my doubts about the GBCs now. I wanted to get the extreme haulers but didn't know how the vulcanized tires held up. I've personally never tried a set and was afraid that the DS would be a little hard on them.
Oh well, what to do, what to do...
Thanks for the replies guys.

I had a set for my DS they are a very strong and thick paddle, i rode on pavement with them and no damage what so ever. They hook pretty good off the line but i did notice a loss in top end and also that's when i discovered that my air intake hose was collaping at full throttle thus making the bike sputter and i believe that the big paddles where the cause. A quick fix bill told me to do is to go get a couple auto hose clamps ans use them. It fix the problem instantly.

All of the advertizements and catalog listings I've seen for the paddle masters, describe them as a tire designed more for mud and snow, than sand. They are "heavy duty" paddles to handle the kind of terrain that would destroy "regular" sand tires.
