I'm finally ready to upgrade the a-arms on my Bomb. I know there are a couple companies making these for the DS, but I'm not sure of which ones to go with. Anyone out there with experience with aftermarket a-arms?

The uppers fit my budget and I would prefer to go this route. Will I get the same adjustability with the uppers vs the whole set?

Will the uppers completely cancel out the head shake, or do I have to go with the whole set?

If the uppers alone fix the handling problem, what are the specific advantages of going with uppers & lowers?

Is it worth another $400 for the whole set?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The upper will help you control the head shake. With both upper and lower you have more adjustments you can make and save more weight.

The uppers are all you need for correcting the caster angle, which is the only handling problem the DS has.
I read in an article in ATV Sport that the full set of moly a-arms weigh like 6 pounds less than stock, and losing the front fenders shaves another 5, and front sand tires on .160 aluminum shave another 10! That's like over 20 pounds off the front, for easier wheelies! Of course, this would just be when sand riding...

Anybody know anything about the Strongarm A-arms? I don't know anybody that has them, haven't heard the pros and cons. People do seem to like the immy's and Alba's - which are made by Amercian Star I think...

I have the TimmyBoy uppers, they are great. Total quality, fully adjustable, Camber and Caster. I guess the lowers will save a couple of more pounds, but I see no advantage to the +1 wheelbase. The DS is plenty big. Spend the dough on shocks.
