I pulled apart my DS to get some powder coating done and MAN THE SWING ARM WEIGHS A TON!!!! Who makes after market ones that are lighter? What about a +2, do I have to get the shock done up to have it work?

I don't think 2 lbs is worth it to me. What about a swing arm of standard length? Does anyone know what that weighs?

You may also want to catch up with AZsand as he has been looking for anything to make his DS lighter, including the swing arm. Dont know if he has had any sucess yet.

TimmyBoy -1 swing arm is 11 pounds lighter than stock

Hey , did anyone see Black DS's swing arm?? I hear it's light!!? Where did he get it from? Sure would be nice to know!! I could really use a nice light swing arm!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I will get you the number of the guys that did it for me,they are in Phx.It had to cut the weight in half,they made it out of oval chrome molly,using the stock housing so everything goes right back together. It cost 395.00,it's 4" over.I used the balance of the arm for a boat anchor[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Pictures by chance? How strong do you think it is compaired to the Timmy Boy? How was the turn around time? I hope to get to meet ya Reed, the infamous Black DS!!!
