I am thinking about getting some riding boots but don't like how stiff they are. Does someone make boots that are comfortable and offer protection too? What does everyone wear when they ride ?

The only problems with riding boots is that u can't feel your shift

 

Are you racing or just recreational riding? For rec riding I wear the Alpinestar trucker boots. Their like pit crew boots. They come in black, red, or blue, and their very comfortable. They can lace up tight and give your feet and ankles good protection.

 

Just recreational riding for me. Too old for the racing thing! Just want some protection for my feet.

I'm already planning a trip, but probably not till Sept/Oct. Maybe Labor Day weekend.

 

I found some SIDI boots that fit the bill for me,forgot the style but they are all black,and almost all leather and they were soft like they were broke in already.
I was the same way I hated wearing boots,but had to buy some for a race...now I wear them all the time.
