Some people were telling my that you can't jump the DS very well. They said that it comes off jumps wierd and stuff. Is this true? I don't think it is since its coming from guys who ride 400EX's. Are they just BS me? Thankz guyz

Next time somebody says YOU can't jump the DS, say yes I can!
Yeah its heavier, so its harder to work in flight, but if you take off right you don't have to anyway. No doubt the 400EX is more workable, but the DS can jump very well, especially if the rider has the suspension set up right for his weight, and the 12" of travel is something I never want to live without again. The DS wasn't made to be the best jumper, so it isn't, but there are plenty of things it can do that no other bike can.
I jump all the time, but I don't take BIG air. I watch guys do it though - I've seen DS's fly over 100ft., at heights over 20ft., at mach speeds!

There is deffinatly no doubt that the DS can air. It is more rather or not the rider has guts to do it. I will get tiny airs because thats all at this time I am comfortable with but you get someone like DSaholic and look out. Set up is very important and costs alot of money but when you love to jump and then take out a expensive shock while doing it, kinda ruins your trip. We'll see how well his new set up hods up when he gets it all back. Beleive me I want to be there when he tests it!!

I will say that the DS flys just fine. It takes a little getting used to but once you are comfortable with the bike there is nothing like sailing through the air after taking off in 5th gear wide open!!!! Like Demon said it can get expensive but with the right set of shocks and A arms the DS will fly with the best of them. I will let you know in a few weeks when I get my A arms how my new set up works.
