The CT pipe gave it a lot of bottom end, but it rev'ed out too fast, and kept hitting the rev. limiter. I adjusted the # of discs to suite my riding style but there was not much top end I'm not sold on the cv carb, so I have ordered the Ron Woods stage one kit, and Pingry's trick airbox. I like having an adjustable pipe, but i think that the new carb, and rev. box should do the trick.

Speaking of Air filters... If you want, the most likely BEST Air filtration possible check this out: Get a K&N for your DS. (I dunno if the DS650's production K&N filter is close enough in size to the TRX250R's for this trick or not, but if it is, I'd just use that.) Anyhow, Uni sells a FOAM outerwear for the TRX250R K&N Filter. With this setup, you can't get better filtration.
Leave the Uni outerwear dry if you want less maintenance, or oil the uni (maybe just on the inside an option?) for even more dirt stopping power. The long standing question of K&N or Uni filter has been answered - BOTH! All thanks to Uni Filter Corp. So be sure to buy a couple of spares, it's always good to have two filters, and the Air filter companies will thank you also.

You don't really need new exhaust and a steering stabalizer. You will get used to the "twitchy" steering in a short time. As far as the exhaust goes, just make sure your carb is jetted right. I will probably be picking up a Dial-A-Jet, so I won't have to worry about that anymore.
The tires work just fine for what they are meant for, dirt. If you want to hit the dunes, then any ATV will do better with paddle tires, at least if it has the power to pull them. Some of the smaller ATV's can't pull paddle tires, but the DS won't have any problems (obviously!). The stock tires will work in the sand, but paddles will work better.

It's a device that uses vacuum and air pressure to automatically adjust the air-fuel mixture, so you don't need to re-jet your carbs.

I have not tried this system yet, but I know it's been around for quite a while and have heard good reports from other forums for street bikes.
