I saw on another board that the Predator has a Rotax?? Is this true?? The Bombardier rep has been very quiet lately...hmmm. If this is true, I find it very hard to believe that it is a Polaris. Biggerisbetter...what do you know??

No, it is most likely Polaris, I dont think bomb would use fox shocks!
It also makes since that it is a Polaris because they steal ideas, mostly from bomb, they do it all the time with sleds, Like "hey bombardier made a X for there snowmobiles, we are to stupid to draw are own X so lets just take theirs and flip it upside down and inside out and call it ours, then put it on all of our sleds and the scrambler.
Polaris is truly crap... And i live in Minnesota were they build them, it makes me sad

Actually, It was Hurycne that noticed some similarities in the motor and asked the test rider what make of motor was in it. Seeing that Hurycne know his $hit about motors the guy told him ROTAX. After Hurycne and Roostinonyou left for home, I asked the test rider myself what engine that was. He told me ROTAX. So was it infact a ROTAX engine? well, I dont see any reason why the guy would lie to us. Do I believe it is a ROTAX, yes, until proved other wise, But what ever it is, Its a screamer!

Yes, the power was GOOD! It may be way to early ,but if the producton quads run like these "test Machines" that were at LS. They WILL be the new king of speed.(stock of-course) The way the quad revved out leads me to believe that they had high comp. and a high rev. limit. I'll say it agian, it reminded me alot of the C'dale Moto.

Maybe Polaris and Bomb have some sort of alliance deal like Suzuki and Kawi do (sharing of the Z400 quad)? That could be the reason that they haven't put a brand name on it. I'm just guessing here and I dought it though.

It would suprise me if Bombardier is "sharing" motors with Polaris...I'll see what I can find out in the next couple of days from the rep. Marky...do you know something we don't know??

I know that Bomb owns Rotax - Rotax been in business since like 1920, and Bomb bought them back in the 80's it seems like. Rotax is still a company though, and they supply a lot of other companies with motors. It is my understanding that Polaris has been using Rotax motors for years, so I wouldn't doubt the Predator having a Rotax motor in it, even though the quad is made by Polaris.
