DSDude had a battery problem. It would seem that he collapsed some of the cells in the battery and it shorted out. Now the mystery is, is the DS ignition system or should I say the Magneto dependant on the battery in order to keep running? Because what we are finding out is if you disconnect the battery the bike WILL NOT RUN! And this is pretty darn bad news if that battery goes out on you out in the boondocks! Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks.

 

Yes, all motorcycles I've had are like that. If the batterys dead the bikes pretty much dead. Later
