What is the difference of the Baja CDI and the DS CDI? I believe that the Baja has a higher limit right? The reg DS revvs out at what 6600, what is the Baja's limit?

 

I think the regular ds hits its limiter at 6900 or maybe it was 7200, and the baja is like 200 rpm higher.

I have the baja and as soon as I got the jet kit and pipe, it started hitting the rev limiter. I went with the ron wood cdi and have enjoyed it.

You are correct, I could not remember and just went and looked it up.

Anyway, the baja rev limit is not high enough when modded out.

That was my next question. Whether the baja CDI would work in the reg DS. But if it's just a 200 difference then it's not worth it anyway.

I'm starting to lean toward a RWR CDI and getting a tach.

 

Yes it will work but it isn't worth the hassle. Buy the Ron Wood you won't regret it.

 

from what i seen in the mags,it get an extra 200 rpm on the baja edition,8000 rpm is now the new rev limit...
