What is the difference of these two. Ron Woods site shows them as the same thing. DynoJet's site shows $57.70 and Rockymtnatv has the K&N kit for $44.95.

Which one is better? Is it worth the extra cash?

I should be ordering today so opinion needed fast.

thanks

They are both the same. I have the K&N kit and it uses the dyno jets.

Yeah its worth it, for a stock motor at least. The Dynojet needle is much better at throttle response. Directions are pretty good too. If you're one of the guys who run with no lid (I do) then utilize Stage 3 directions. If you retain your stock airbox lid, then use Stage 1 directions.

So the difference is the needle, they use the same jets just different needles?

No, the jets are different too. Dynojet #'s do not mean the same thing as Mikuni #'s, and you must use Dynojet mains with Dynojet needles. The needle is where all the R&D is though, and it is well worth the money spent in my opinion.

What I bought was the K&N power kit. It came with the dynojets, dynojet needle, spring, washer, and K&N filter. I am asuming here that the kit (not power kit) will be the same except no filter.

Yeah I bought the K&N kit from RM as well and it's the same as the dynojet kit, just cheaper. It the same dyonjet needle and jets that ships with the dynojet kit. Maybe, Hightower misread the question in the first post?

Yeah, sorry, I just got sidetracked here - I agree the two kits are the same also.
When I first posted, I was just responding to the question of "is it worth it", because Eaglecollector already answered the other question, and then from there I got all screwed up. I just meant the Dynojet needle was better than the stock "Mikuni" needle.

Sorry SandScum!

Listen to Hightower, the Dynojet/K&N kit gives the best overall bang for the buck for the stock carb! I tried all combinations of the stock mikuni needle and main jets, and the dynojet kit wins hands down ,in my own opinion.

If my DS is COMPLEATLY STOCK will just taking the lid off and puting in the jet kit make a noticible differanc? or do I really need the pipe and CDI box?
