Ahhhhhh!!!!!Went for a short ride this afternoon and my new water pump seals are not sealing again after just replacing them awhile back! I have a small drip from the weep hole again, right after I start the motor! Anyone interested in a slightly used 01'DS? I have been crossing alot of sandy creeks lately, and I think some junk(sand/grit) has found it's way into the seals ! Man this slurps! Then, my neutral light burns out! Ugggghhh! Oh yeah, does anyone have the part #'s for the waterpump impeller, shaft, and seals? thanks....

Mr. Buttfungus- It appears that it is in your best intrest to trade your parts failure prone quad in on a shiney 2003 raptor.

Sorry Steve, I didn't save my invoice with the part #'s. You'll have to call the dealer. I do remember that the shaft was $12, and the seals are $5 each x 2.
In the interest of standing up for the ULTIMATE quad - the mighty DS - I have to say that more than likely there is a logical explanation for the seal failure that is probably linked to some grit or some other contamination, either up the weephole or in through the radiator cap.

My seal is or was leaking too. But the strange thing is its not in the oil at all. I have ridden it a dozen times since I've noticed the drip and no problems. My oil is normal looking and no other problems. Also it is not a constant drip. And sometimes on some trips there has been no leak at all like it sealed itself back up.

BigJon, Yep that's exactly what mine has done. The leak from the weephole stops after my engine warms up.
