I recently bought an used Graydon Pipe. They guy sent me a jet with 185 on it.

I looked in the carb on the back side and can not figure out where this goes. i have spoken to dealers and they said it is the main jet.

Where does this go and do I need to drill to make it fit?

You have to remove the float bowl( Should change the screws to allen head screws)I think there are 3 4x10mm & 1 4x12mm. Then look in the center and it is the jet with the sleeve around it. It should be a 165 stock.

ACE Hardware. Make sure you get the stainless ones.

What a pain it was to remove those bottom four bolts. I ended up drilling the heads off.

Thanks for the advice on getting the allen bolts.

Shadow:

The screws were tight not because they were screwed in too far but because they have LocTight on them.

There are a few threads on this subject as we have all experienced the same issue. Just make sure you don't put them on with as much force as you were using to take them off.

You will find a set of needle nose vice grips and an impact driver(about $15 at AutoZone) will come in very handy when working on your DS.

You should put a little antisieze on them before you put them in. It helps considering the screws are steel and the carb is alum. Stops corrosion.
