What is the deal with the Yamaha rod?? Nothing against Yamaha, just wondering why this is for the DS. Does it work with the DS?

I just talked to 'Matt' at Sam Coe. Didn't get much info except for pricing. For the 720 kit he said just parts - $1700, installed - $2200. You can also get a 690, which is the same thing as the 720 without the stroker crank, parts - around $1250, installed - around $ 1650.

Anyone know the power output difference between the two??

Hmmmm.

I like the sound of that.

Did that price include porting as well? I assume so by looking at Jeff's post above showing the uninstalled prices broken out.

Would still need to change the carb out to a larger one or twins.

Did you ask what the turn-around time for the work would be?

Would love to see the 690-Sam Coe vs. the Pami 703 vs. the 720 Sam Coe vs. the Pami 760.

Wonder what the fuel injection Sam Coe is talking about coming out in Sept. would add to the HP numbers.

Yes the price does include porting.

I also would be interested in seeing how all the big bores do against each other.

No, I didn't ask how long it would take for them to do it... I did talk a local mechanic up here about having him do it...

P.S. I just started saving for all this......man I can't wait.

I think the 720 is faster than the 703. Badassbomb(720 ?) was plenty quick

I'm pretty sure that Badassbomb has the Sam Coe DS720. and it is pretty fast. got second place in the 660ft drags at Aledo, against Scooby's turbo DS, drag banshees, alky raptors, 686 raptors, alky RWR D650's and many more, except his DS720 was running on NOS also, but if I remember correctly, I think he only used NOS for one race (vs. DS760
