Sand Sharks
#2
Bomb...I had some Sand Sharks for a while. They did ok, just not as good as I wanted. Good turning but not much in foreward traction. I also tore off 25% of the paddles (4 Glamis trips). I tried Sand Devils and they were ok too. I ended up comp cutting them after tearing off 50% of the paddles (3 trips to Glamis). Now I have Extreem Haulers 22-11-10 10paddle and have not lost any rubber after 6 Glamis trips and 2 Mexico runs.
I hope this helps...

I have a set of Sand Sharks too. They are in good shape they just don't do much for the quad. I changed over to Extreme Haulers also (20x10x10-8) and they flat GO.
Pass on the Sand Sharks, your stock tires are probably just as good.
With all that HP, you need a serious sand tire for your quad. Go with a Hauler and you will be happy.

The faster the better,
I'm wanting to get paddle tires. I see so many opinions on 20's vs 22's. I'd rather have 20's, but some say they don't float well on the big DS. You seem happy with yours. Our mods look about the same (no CDI here) thought maybe I'd give your recommendation a try. Any downsides to those haulers ? Does it spin at all or is it a slingshot launch?
Where did you get the best deal?

Hey Andrew.
I picked up the Extreme Haulers (more durable than the standard haulers) through Rocky Mt. ATV. I think price wise there are a number of others that compare very well to their prices.
For my quad and the very soft sand at Sand Mt., NV the 20" haulers work well.
The taller tires will help you float better but, you will have to gear down.
I like to climb some pretty steep hills and the 20" with the stock gearing work well (in fact I may try a smaller front sprocket my next trip up to see what gear it allows me to pull up Comp Hill at Sand Mt.
The 22" tires would be good for:
If you plan on riding mostly flat sand and want top speed.
You plan a big bore modification.
Regularly go riding in a area with extremely soft sand (I hear St. Anthony's in Idaho is like this.)
Shorter (20" tires are better for:
Overall Duning (turning they are less tippy.)
I have not noticed much wheel spin at all with these.
