You know you wouldn't be having these problems right now with the Mikuni! So it looks like I may be able to make it up to Sand Mtn after all. It seems we are getting those four day's off! What a freaking miracle! I have been working fourteen days straight, 19 hrs a day! This movies going to kill me! I definatley will need a break by Labor Day. Let me know how it's going!

 

I just couldn't pass up the 300 bucks for the lectron. I hope I get it set up by then so we can compare the two. glad to hear you might be able to make it. It is looking like it will be a real fun weekend.

DSa - I've been giving serious consideration to the Lectron for a while now myself. Let me know how it performs after you get it all tweeked. I was quoted $240 by FastByGast a couple months ago - why'd you have to drop $300? Sand45 has one, he had his intake manifold ported to match the carb, no more step. Also, somehow or another I got under the impression that the power jet was for like a throttle hammer boost - kinda like an accelerator pump acts. I didn't know it was for top end. I have all the literature from the website, with all the instructions, but none of what I have gives any info on this jet, only the metering rod.

Oh, and I dig MontyPython too.

 

I will be sure to let you know what happens with the carb next weekend. I have to work this weekend so all I can do is get it set up like JBomb said in the garage so that will have to do till then.
the power jet is for top end and when the carb creates enough vacume to suck the fuel from the float bowl up to it.

Disturbed I'll have you know that at least dumbo had a happy ending for the elephant unlike jurasic park where all the raptors end up losing in the end!! LOL

The power jet starts dumping fuel at about half throttle,so it will affect your mid range some.
