You won't need more than one gallon of Engine Ice to completely fill the DS.
I used DI water to flush the system.
First, pop the radiator cap and drain everything through the water pump drain.
Tighten drain.
Fill radiator w/ DI water and run for 5 minutes or until warm. Repeat as often as necessary until only clear water is drained from the system.
I flushed my system about eight times just to make sure all the old coolant was gone.
The reason is that ethylene glycol (standard coolant) will react with the propylene glycol (Engine Ice) and cause it to gel.
Fill with straight Engine Ice (don't add water) and your good to go.

So there is a drain valve somewhere on the water pump housing? Is is buy where the bottom hose comes out of the engine?

Follow the radiator supply hose. It enters the engine on the left lower side.
The drain bolt is the lower, center, Allen bolt on the water pump cover.
Turn left to loosen. Place something under the drain to catch the coolant. No need to completly remove the Allen. A funnel w/ attached hose works good.
Use caution if the coolant or DI water is hot.
Between flushings, allow the engine to cool some.
Dispose of old coolant where cats can't get at it.
Purchase a shop manual when you can afford it.

Does engine ice help engine alot to keep it cool?
I am thinking about running with out fan so i want to keep really cool.
Also does it freeze in cold temps? Because i ride in the winter.

Thanks

I added Engine Ice and radiator shrouds at the same time and since then the fan only comes on once or twice in any given trip (on hotter days.) As opposed to being on almost constantly unless I was riding fast in the upper gears. Water Wetter is good for those that don't need the Anti-Freeze, but Engine Ice helps both cool and keep the coolant from freezing.

What the hell is DI water? Do you mean Distilled water? And does this stuff really work without messing up your engine after a period of time? It just seems like a big pain in the but for just a little difference. And how about the Water Wetter? Any real differences there either?

When I ported my head a few weeks ago I filled her back up with Distilled water. The fan hardly ever comes on now. Only when idling for long periods. I imagine the other products would have similar results.
