DI is distilled water. I will hopefully be able to tell you how this stuff works after the trip to St. Anthony's next weekend.

I think DI is de-ionized water, I dont really know what the difference is, but thought that might help.

DSa, let us know how it works out for you. I might be looking into that.

Distilled water is water that has been processed to remove particles.
De-ionized water is further processed and remove any electricial charge. It's what alot of car washes use for "spot free rinse", If you can get this it would be the better of the two. Less stuff in the water= less stuff in your cooling system.

Smitty is correct regarding the properties of DI vs Distilled.
Check your Yellow Pages under Water. Some water stores should carry it. I have also seen it in grocery stores on occasion.
Don't wrap yourself around the axle trying to find DI if it's not locally available.
Use Distilled if you can't find it. It won't make that much of a difference and may be somewhat less expensive.
