I have to say that I like the idea of testing on the same dyno right after one another, BUT there are still alot of things that will change one reading from another.

Here are just a few that I have thought of:
tire pressure
type of tire used (especially width and tread)
the ability to check for wheel spin or slip
tie down pressure
type of chain used
chain tension
bad chain
bearings
brakes

Also, Most dyno's have a weather station built in and will update as you go. Others require initial setting daily then continue to calculate on the fly. The typical correction factor (CF) is calculated based on the absolute barometric pressure, air temperature and water content of the air used for combustion by the engine. It attempts to predict the horsepower that would be developed if the engine were tested at sea level under standard pressure and temperature conditions.

These are some things I have read and have been aware of. By no means am I saying anything about the POOR numbers that the particualr 770 put out, but these are some things to consider when having any quad dyno tested and then trying to compare to someone on a different dyno in different parts of the country.

the dyno i used was a dyno jet rear tire dyno. it has a weather station that controls the correction factor. the temperture was 98.8 the dyno guy said it would make a LITTLE more power if the weather was cooler around 60. the dyno tells you that.

scooby i do not believe company that make the turbo kits dyno runs. my friend with the turbo raptor was supose to have around 70hp and i seen it on the dyno and watched it run. i don't think it is close to 70 at all. from what i've seen you have to go by independent dyno runs to get your HP. i see so many business porting banshee and SO CALLED 90HP. we all know that bullsh!t. or the one they have with everthing right on the dyno does and your has about half of that. just like trininty says you can put a pipe and k&n filter on a raptor and get 50hp. you can't do it. and the banshee pipes they claim about the same. a well ported 350 banshee on gas with all the goodies makes about 57-61hp. read on the internet and mags and the have 80-90. at the dyno they are working on aT-REX powervalue motor with a 4mm strocker crank and so far they are getting 78HP. that is the BADDEST banshee cyclinders out. you can't believe what you read or hear.

DSMike, is there a site that has a hp calculator for 1/4 and 1/8 mile times/mph? There are tons for cars but its hard to find one for a quad. I'm not sure they are the same because of the weight and wind coeffecient for a quad.
