i went back to the dyno AGAIN tonight. i made 64.1 RWRP. i still have the smaller cam and no timing in the motor. if my cam comes in theis week and i put about +5 in timing i think it will be VERY close to 70RWHP.

Randy send me a PM with your # so i can call you i need to tell you something about your bike.

i about forgot!

i thought all of us DS guys would want to hear this. there was a 770 raptor(the one like in dirt wheels mag) on the dyno at SANDTRAX. guess how much power? it was on gas and built by sandtrax. sandtrax is one of the top motor builders in the country in my books. he set the record at pikes peak a couple of years ago and came in 2nd this year. he was disappointed inthe raptor. guess what it made

Well depending on the carbs and if there were head mods or not, that would be a difference. But if they were stock still my guess is 52 RWHP.

Dosen't Trinity get at least 63HP out of a 686. If they were'nt getting that he must not be a very good Raptor engine builder!

I have never seen a 65 horse raptor. I am about to think you can not get there. Trying to get the rappy to make power after 7000 rpm is proving hard to get.

I would guess under 60....

I also think that the Raptor is limited to it's ability compared to the DS. The lack of DOHC's and full race head is a mighty good start. Ya know, you can only do so much to a stock Rap head before your done!

I plan to have my Rap dynoed in mid Sept and I will supply some numbers and graphs for comparison.
