Ok, I am pretty sure that my 2nd gear shift fork is bent, but I don't have the money to pay for the labor, and stuff for a new one. When I am racing some times, When I shift from 1st to 2nd, It kicks into Neutral. It usually revvs up, and I just slam it back into 2nd. Does that hurt anything kicking it back into 2nd? H

ow hard is it, or how much $$$ is it to replace a shift fork?

Adam,
When drag racing, you should be taking off in second anyway.

Get it fixed fast you will destroy your gear box and then throw metal into your motor. If you think it will cost alot now wate until you need a new motor and trany.

Hell.. Ive got Ohtsu Radials.. That hook up awesome. And I still take off in 2nd. AFter my Pipe the DS now has so much low end.. That starting off in second is quicker out of the hole and it saves me a shift.
