Ok, I hate to get too involved in speculation but..... If this is a 600ex then I would say that conflicts with what Knowsalot hinted at about MXers liking it more than the duners????

What gives? And for those of you who do know something then out with it - enquiring minds want to know.

I'll speculate - Whatever it is I am betting that it will be behind the rest of the pack in performance.... if there is actually a new sport quad that is.

 

i just hope honda uses a better motor than honda's xr650 dirt bike... dsmike raced a few of those and was killing them by 10-15 bike lengths.... i think the xr650 honda bike dynoed like 35hp stock

 

My guess is a all new 440cc water cooled engine in a 250R~400EX style updated frame. It will probably be the new boss in the 400 class & give everyone else a good run & it will be as reliable as a sewing machine.
That would sure make the MX guys happy!

600cc Class maybe next year (2004 model).
That would make the dune guys happy!

 

Actually a 500cc or larger two stroke would make us dune guys happy. The suspension travel of the ds, weighing in at about an even 390-400 pounds.

If honda makes a 600ex, I am sure they will have a following, but the problem is they will be following the rest of the manufacturers. If honda wants to lead the pack, they need to jump ahead. If it is for the mxers, then they can have their hondas and I will keep my others.
