I've got both a 1998 F150 Supercab Shortbed, which the DS fits into without any trouble. I've got a 2000 Ranger Supercab Shortbed which I have not loaded the DS into yet, though I know what will happen: It's a pain, though not impossible to load it in over the wheel wells, and the tailgate wont close.

Like Hightower said, it'll fit into ANY small truck, however you'll have to muscle it over the wheel wells, and if you get a shortbed you wont be closing the tailgate.

If you haven't tried to load an ATV over the wheel wells, here is a basic idea of what happens: You push it up into the truck, and while you're still hefting it the front tires stop, and the handlebars turn. Now you need someone to get in the truck, straighten the bars, and pull - then get the heck out of the way when it starts to come forward!

I've done this before with a widened, lengthened Raptor, it's amusing, but I like my trailer behind either truck much better, since it takes me driving the ATV onto the trailer and pulling on the brakes to load it.

It should fit in any truck, a mid size truck you will have to drive it over the top of the wheel wells though.. (someone correct me if I am wrong, I have a full size long bed) I have a few friends with Tacomas, and they fit thier SP500s and Grizzly's fine. I would think the DS would be no larger than a Grizz.

Arnie- Can I have your truck? I love the duramax!

My brother has a F250 SD 4x4 and I drive it right in ... and slam on the brakes.

Is it possible to drive it in over the wheel wells?

Does anyone use a step side? ... i thought that since these do not have wells then it should be an easy drive in.

I use ramps to drive up and have some "mini" ramps set up from the tailgate to the wheel wells to prevent the front wheels from hitting the wells and stopping. Works pretty well. The guy I bought my DS from had a GMC step side and he said it didn't fit in the back - too wide. Don't know that from experience though. You'd have to measure.

Thanks for your help and idea on the mini ramps.

When you say mini ramps do you mean like the ones used to work on your car?
