Just wondering what the power and speed of a 500 Traxter is ? I was thinking of the new 2 up Max machine as we like to ride double, I have a Sportsman 500 HO now and was wondering if the power was about the same, I have never had the opportunity to drive a Bombardier ATV.

The traxter is a fun bike.

Today the girlfriend and I went out in Northern MN. She led and was keeping the pace @ 45mph.. With me, being fat and all, it maxes out at about 58mph indicated but she got it too 63 or so in stock form.

It is a really fun bike, and it's nice having a "utility" quad and a sport one. Going through wheel deep water on it is easy considering it was her first time on an ATV. Its usper user friendly and the electronic-shift is a pretty neat function.\

As for riding two up, I know the sticker says not too, but I know my dad and step-mom took the traxter up and down valley logging roads in SE minnesota with no problem, and she was driving while he road bitch.

Over all a good time and 3-yr bumper to bumper is a good deal..

Just my opinion of the XT.

Later,
Scott
