FSW's What the heck?

Well I figured someone needs to light the fire in these guy's britches. I am so stoked for this I cant wait. Who knows if I am even entering but I love a good race. This thing should be huge!!
King, anymore word on what the classes are going to be? I have a few suggestions as well. First. There should be a definate finish line with someone that has a digital camera filming the end of each race in case of a photo finish. They can and will probably happen, that way you can go to the camera and look frame by frame and determine the winner. Second. I think the best way to know the definate winner is to have the finals be best 2 out of 3. Coming through the brackets you will have a second chance in case of mess up by coming through the losers barcket, that is if thats how you decide to do it. That has my vote by the way. And then best two out of three will leave no doubt as to who rules the four strokes.( can you tell I just drove 3 hours to Wyoming and had some time to think LOL) One more quick question, is it going to be entering the quad or the racer? Meaning if I enter and barely lose and feel my weight may have been why, could I pass the quad to another Rider thats lighter? Many DS guys are big, some really big, and to find the fastest four stroke, they may need a lighter person and also I thought it would be a good rule incase someone got hurt but they still wanted to see what their quad could do. I personally think it is fine to do it that way so my vote on that as well. That is what the big shops will be doing anyways. Like I know Sparks himself probably wont be riding his bike ect. so it should go for everyone. Dont mean to stir anything up here but just offering ideas and nothing more, take them or leave them no matter.

Yep, the more I read on here the more stoked I get about going. It will be cool to meet a lot of people on here and see some old frinds again.
About the crowds. I'm OK with that but I want my first trip to Glamis to be about duning more than partying and watching my back if that makes sense.

wyoduner, as far as being able to ride without having to watch your back. the dunes are huge. even on turkey day the crowds are basically in three areas. oldsmobile during the day and the drags in the evening and comp hill at night. you can ride forever on this weekend and only see a couple small groups of people if you stay away from these areas. if you were to go on a long weekend and you --- http://www.glamisdunes.com/picsoftheday/3.jpg --- people watching or watching amazing looking ---http://www.glamisdunes.net/bs16.JPG--- do --- http://www.glamisdunes.net/bsx512.JPG --- things, the big weekends are great.
like i said you can also ride till you either break down or run out of gas and see only a few people who are always willing to help, where as on an off weekend you may not see anyone... thats why i always recommend first timers to visit on a holiday weekend. sorry so long, just tired of the bad press on the holiday weekends they are truly the best.
p.s. sorry the linking feature didn't work.

Our first and last trip to glaims was on Thanksgiving of 2000 and it's just like glamisds650 said, all the crowdes were at a few places, you saw trafic between the hills on the north end but then we set the GPS for China wall, Lizard and others and saw very few folks while going cross dune and didn't even find very many at these hills I think that MLK weekend will be great crowd wise

I think I am going to try to make it. It is one long drive for sure. But would be well worth it. I will not be entering, but will be there for spectating and duning of course. When I lived in pheonix we used to go ride the buttercup area of the ISDRA. It was a lot of fun. But that was some 10 years ago.
Hopefully as the time approaches we can find out where a lot of people will be camping, so that we can try to be in the same area.
Cant wait, and I hope to see the fastest four strokes in the country. should be a blast.

Don't worry Velocity you won't be the only one.
Why are some of you comming and not going to race? What is a race without slower people to beat? How much is the entrance fee?
I hope I didn't step on anybody's toes.LMAO

From what I understood from another thread is the racing is indeed on Sunday to leave Saturday for practice and tuning. I can think of atleast 6 DS's that I hope show up. We have heard from 2 of them so far. I know that several are indeed coming but arent speaking up. I know there will be a decent showing of DS's there but I bet there is 3 Raptors to every one DS. Sure is going to be rough watch the DS go 1,2,3 on the podium though LOL. Dont you just love the underdog!!
