I Made it
#1
I finally made Choke Cherry last week after 3 trips to the dunes. This time the only thing I changed was tires. I am now running 22-11.00x10 Skat-Trak Extream Haulers (9 paddle). I can't believe the differance these tires make. I could stop at the bottom of Choke and still climb it in 2nd gear.
I would suggest these tires to anybody who wants to do any serious climbing.

MRDS65, congrats. That's a tough hill for the Bombs. What paddles did you have before the Extreme Haulers.
I have watched a lot of machines try to make it up that hill and more than anything the paddles made the difference.

That's funny.
Was talking with Jeff about those tires last week.
Do they fit on your 10" rims?
I have a set of SandSharks on 10" rims. I could take off the SandSharks and use the rims and pick up a set of the Extreme 22x11x10-9paddle Haulers.
I am running the 20x10x10-10 paddle extremes right now but, really sounds like the DS likes those taller tires.
Man, I sure seem to be doing my part to keep the tire companies in business.
MRDS650: If you aren't running the direct mount K&N (with outerware) I would suggest you switch over to it. The power difference was amazing.

I ran a set 20-12.00x9 Kenda Dune trackers. They were great for turning but sucked for climbing. With the extream's I could carry enough speed to catch a little air or carry the front tires off the top of Choke Cherry.
I also droped to a 15 tooth in the front so I could keep up the rpm's with the 22" tires
