I saw a 2001 DS650 for $4000 yesterday. The price seemed sort of cheap to me. What do they cost new? I would also be interested in any opinions about the DS, thnx.

 

they were selling for $4995 last winter, they are great, ride them hard and they will keep going strong. they require very little, just change oil, lube the chain, wash and ride. the only problem, is the fan on the radiator. the guy at woods told me to remove it.

 

I bought a brand new 01 ds in 2001 for 6,100.
I have drove it every day since that and I love it.
Like sandman said the fan dies after about a year, but you can buy an inline cooler, and some radiator scoops and you will be fine (I made my own out of sheet metal and then spray painted them, that saves me $70[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img])

But other then the fan and the gas vent tube (Easily fixed) it is a kick a** machine.

I have drove my friends raptor a lot, and I really dont think it compares to the ds. Its The Best All Around Machine!
