I still pull the plug from under the engine. The pump just takes care of the upper tank in a clean way that doesn't require removing any hose. Either way you have to remove the plug under the quad. This is just an alternative to get the oil out of the upper tank. Harbor Freight has the pump for about $3.50 and the tubing is from Home Depot for (He77, I can't remember, it was cheap.)
