where is CDI unit located ??

Default where is CDI unit located ??

Can anybody help ...Graydon CDI on the way and dont have a clue what to take offf to locate the old one ........

Default where is CDI unit located ??

The CDI is located on the left if you're sitting on it and right underneath the gas tank. It is a small black box that will have some silver lettering on it I believe I can't run out and look at it right now sorry, if you have any other questions feel free to persoanl message me. By the way you will need to remove the gas tank.

Default where is CDI unit located ??

It is on the left side under the tank. I got mine out without removing the tank, but you do need to remove the nose plastic.

it's the black box , mine has a green and silver sticker with denso. i didn't remove any plastic to change the cdi on both of my ds's.

Default where is CDI unit located ??

Here is another picture (bad one)

It is above the starter in this picture (just under the plastic shroud for the gas tank) The starter has the large red wire, then there is a black wire (throttle cable I think) above that and just above that there is a silver (Ron Wood) sticker on a black box with wires coming into one side.
