Need something that plays MP 3's
Boston Pro 6.5 fed by PPI PCX 2200.
Mids in the door, tweets up high on the A pillars.
1 10" farenheit ck10D in a .548 cu ft sealed box fed by a Phoenix Gold XS 2200.
Sub to be changed to 3 JL 8W6's in a custom built mdf box.
Amp to be a PPI PCX 280 that will give the subs around 350W.
I have both, jsut haven't gotten around to installing them.
Sound deadener: Peel and Seal. 2-3 layers in/on doors and back wall of truck.
Plenty of car audio forums out there.

By the way I my be wrong on the model of the Kicker amp, it has been over a year since i messed with it. All I know for sure is it is a HC competition amp that is rated for 100w RMS at 4 ohmswhen loaded down it put out 1000W RMS(which in desighning found out puts out a true 1375 watts from kicker themselves) I just cant remember if that is the eaxct model or not.

 

To answer your question about which amp I am pushing my highs with I am running an a/d/s PQ40 that puts out 100x4 and is superbly clean. Also I am glad to have someone bring up this topic here because now i know there are others out there.

 

DemonDs, I'm still planning on doing an install in my car but it's on the back burner. For the probe, I have that EarthQuake digital amp that they made a while back, and I also have 2 of there 18" subs. Thats all I have for the car so far...

 

Rodsquad what brands does your shop deal with.

Getting ready to build the system in my wifes car. Looking at one RE XXX 10 or 12 sealed or ported still figuring up money plan and air space for the sub. running off of 1200 to 1500 watts daily. It is just the start of the plan got to get the comps for front and the rear fill prob. for christmas.

 

if i remember right they cary Eclipse, Phoinex Gold, Alpine, Sony mobile. there is probably a bunch i missed or maybee got a few wrong. he told me but its been a while. rod really does know what he is talking about and is one of the nicest men you will ever meet.

Excuse me if this is old but I have been out of it for about 4 years. Anybody use CV strokers? When I was gettin out of it those were the stuff.

I went to the usac national a few years back in Daytona, wow. I saw team Gates' Bronco hit like 171. It was pretty nice.

 

Ward thats about when I got out of it. I had 6 fosgate power 12s in a 85 honda prelude just behind the front seat. now i just got a JL 12W3 in a JL stealthbox under the rear seat in my HD powred by a punch 100. thats good enough for me now.
