Default Shaved Fenders.....need pics!!!

I have an extra rear fender and it popped into my head that I should shave them for when I go duning, and just use the other one when I want/or need to.

Anyways, just wondering if you guys could send me some pics of what yours looks like. Also how should I do it?? Thanx for your help.

Check out the gallery, you can see most everybodys on there and save you the time and them the hassle of email.

Believe it or not, I cut mine with a utility knife.

I admit, I'm a floor covering installer, so I'm pretty good with the knife.

First I just followed the line on the back of the fenders. That gets rid of a lot of excess, then you can shape it the way you want.

I will have pictures with my new paint job posted by the end of the week.

Didn't find too many DS's with shaved fenders in the gallery. Can anyone help??

So a utility knife is the way to go, or is there something else?? For some reason a dremel tool came to mind??

Vegas650: When you say you followed the line on the back of the fenders, do you mean the 'lip' around the edge??

Thanx lilnotts. I like how Majorecho's looks.

Has anyone had a problem with not having any heelguards??

No problems without heel gaurds.

The line I was referring to is where the plastic changes angles. it's clearly visible on the back side.

I did use the dremel for sanding, after cutting.

When I cut my heel cups I used a small battery reciprocating saw with a blade just like a wood cutting jig saw blade, it worked great, very controlable, made a nice cut, I'll use it again when I cut the fenders. We'll be making a proto type aluminum heel guard soon (probably right after FSW) bolt to the foot peg, simple clean design, round tube aluminum, works with nerfs...
