dsmike, How in the world do you get the tires to spin? I know I could get much better times if I could get some spin, but no matter what I do, all I get on a drag strip is wheelies. I've tried everything from automotive radials to what I'm currently running, dirt track oval Hoosiers. I've played with a multitude of chassis set ups, raising and lowering the front and the rear. I run 19/32 gearing, because I was running the quarter, but I slowly worked up to that, so I know that shorter gearing will not help.

I know I'll never get those Hoosiers to spin, but I figured that I might as well go for the tallest, lightest tire I could. On the street, I haze them slightly as I rocket off. I can feel that my 60' times would be better and my E.T.'s would be much lower if I could launch like that on a track. As sticky as the launch pads are on the tracks that I have run, bicycle tires could give me a wheely with a +12 swing arm. Heck, when I put my feet down they stick to the track.
