You will find 400-500cc Banshees pushing 90-100 hp on gas.

Well I would like to see a stock bore ds without any adds(nitrous or turbo) come close to that!

Northjeepster,

Call Ron Wood, and see if he is interested in doing a "race only" version of his Stage three for you! I know his kits are biult with longevity in mind, so I am sure he has a few more speed secrets for his Racing engines.

From what I have seen ,DSmike can sqeeze about as much h.p. out of a 650 as possible. He might be for higher. give him a PM, and see if he would be Interested.


P.S. Set-up is as important as motor in racing, you cant afford to make mistakes when your out-gun'd.

anyone know how much torque the DS puts out? it says on the bomb site but it says it in newton meters so what is it in lb/ft?

heh guys i had a idea I email pami and asked them could you have a 703 and use a thiner gasket therefore 13 to 1 and be under 700cc that would be the ticket!! or maybe I could use a stoker crank on 650 to make it 700cc?? the engine needs to be under 700cc and i would like to have it 13 to 1 too. what do you guys think????

I just got done talking to pami and he gave me a great idea!! use a 102 bore with 13 to1 pistons that have two compression rings that gives me 678cc well under 700cc but a 5% increase in power COOOL[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] then later if I need to up it I can put in the stroker crank pin to give me 703!!

i don't think i saw all of your rules, but weight is the ds, weakness, try shedding, a few pound, the 20lb lighter that my brother is lets him pull away from me, the good news is it was 30 then i would also focus on getting good power transfer to the ground, i would call gary at tvi he has a race head made for the ds, plus in a week he should have his new cdi box it sounds like it might be a really good thing. he is also getting aluminum, swingarms, other than that he has a lot of advise on the ds.

I have been talking to gary and yea I'm using both the MSD and his race head I was just looking into getting more cc's out of it but i have to stay under 700cc. and your right i need to loose weight on the ds I going to work on that next after the engine $$$$ you know!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I talked to Gary today about staying under the 700 mark it looks like I can run a 102 bore and 13 to 1 piston and this will make the the first 687cc ds cool it be the first later down the road I can put in the stroker kit and make it 703 but I what to see what kind of revs I'll get of the stock stroke!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] the piston is pami too! the ringed race head is garys! should be a killer combo
