Remove front fenders and replace A-arms with TBR or American Star. Remove heel guards and use TBR fender supports, Remove fan, Replace the stock exhaust system with a full system like Big Gun, CT, Graydon Proline , use a TBR -1 swing arm. Remove any no longer need bracket and drill some holes. Net result is about 50 lbs remove want more use a heavy duty titanium axle

They were trying to get weight bias like the 250R 49% front 51% rear. The stock DS is 51% front 49% rear. If they got the 49/51 they were hoping for lighter feeling front end. After the put the DS on a diet they ended up with 51/49 like stock. It handles better because they were able to get better front end set up with the TimmyBoy A-arms. The -1 swingarm made the rear too light for 49/51 weight bias but made the DS very easy to wheelie. They were never able to make adjustments because the DS was stolen.

I was hoping for a company like LoneStar or Roll to build a chrome-moly frame but I guess they are afraid of the low sales numbers. I think its great that Bomb is seeing enough of a future in sport quads to invest in a true high perf low weight quad. If this happens, its a very good sign indeed.
I hope they are considering a direct replacement for the existing frame, allowing a weight reducing frame swap option. It will be pricey but at least it will give us that option.

If they due come out with a new sport quad I would love to see is have a Outlander style rear end. They could make a 440 for MX, TT, and cross country and the 650 for the Desert.

billsds650 have you gotten close to the 50-50 weight with the change in a-arms? and i saw what they drilled, but didn't seem worth the hassle and the issue of wear over time, has anyone moved the raditor overflow to the rear of the bike, not much i know, but drilling the shift lever, wasn't much either. seems like it would be hard to lighten the front, is there after market steering stems that save weight?
