CDI??????

Ok, I am getting a Ron Woods CDI off of DemonDS and I was wondering what modifications I will have to make for it to fit on my BAJA? I noticed that Marky's site has you pick between standard DS and the BAJA, so I assumed you will have to modify something.

Lilnotts, what kind of riding do you do? I am constantly hitting the rev limiter, it isn't as if I'm in to drag racing and needing the extra RPM's for speed, but I race MX and coming out of turns in first gear it isn't to pleasant to hit a brick wall at 8,000 RPM's so quick. So I'm still looking for the answer to my original question so feel free to chime in.

well i do mostly trail riding, with occasion drag racing, so half the time i'm guessing i never got over 6500rpm(but i don't have a tach yet so i'm not 100% sure), so i don't c where this would really help me, n if i were u i'd do a search on cdi and i'm pretty sure there will b somethin on it, i'll look in a little while n c if i can find somethin for u

Thanks, Lil I had a brain fart and forgot about searching for it, I'll get on it to, but if you find something just post it here. You should get the tach, it's a nice, but pricey accesory to have.

The aftermarket CDI also changes the way the engine works, giving you more power, some CDI boxes have a rev limit a few hundred RPM higher than the stock one as opposed to removing the limit, however those boxes are $400 and the ones without the limit are selling for as low as $270.
