Well it was fun while it lasted, but things on this forum are back to being slow, at least for me....

I feel like I'm at McDonald's "special sauce.' The site seems fine here currently and the last couple of times I've used it. Though I must confess that I don't often notice the slowness if there is any since I've got about 4-5 other windows going at the same time as I read the forums. 21" monitors are great! Next on my list: 23" Viewsonic LCD panel, though I'm going to wait a tad longer for the proce to drop again.

You want real screen realestate go with dual or triple screens...

I run several systems with dual 19's and a couple dual 17's myself. Once you go with a multimonitor setup you'll wonder how you ever got by with a single, no matter what the size - and you won't break the bank either...

I run dual 19" ViewSonic Monitors. I'm going to add one more 17 or 19 inch so that I have 3 monitors. The 3rd monitor will be used to monitor the performance of the servers and won't be anything I do any day-to-day work on. Just another screen that updates so I can keep tabs on things.

And the speed problem was mine, my whole starband satellite system was acting up, and wouldn't load anything at any speed this morning. A restart fixed it. Things are loading fast again, thanks dbeck!

This morning it was very slow for me. I gave up and left. Later I came back and it was still slow. Stuck with it though. Then about 10 am Pacific time I couldn't get in at all. Now it seems ok. But not like it was.

Eagle,

Thanks. We'll see what everyone else says too. I believe the forums are as fast as before and now with the additional changes should be even faster. The times you quoted I was working on things and you were probably working when I had removed the speed changes for a while.
