Default Oil Pressure gauge

Ok, I mounted my pressure gauge up everything, and I installed the sensor with a 3/8 tee with a 1/8 sensor fitting in the oil return line. My question is why am I reading no pressure, I have clear line and the oil slowly works its way up to the gauge, but the gauge will read. My question is the oil return line really under the little of pressure? Also where have you put the sensor for your gaughes.

You should have mounted it at the oil sending unite not the return line. The return line is gravity feed I think that is why the oil tank can not be relocated.

Ok, well it is no big deal, I can remount it. Where is the oil sending unit, is that the plug on top of where the oil filter is located.

That is the one. In the manual it is called the oil pressure switch and is where you check the engine oil pressure. Minimum 7 PSI at ideal, 44 PSI at 6600 RPM and max of 87 PSI

The sending unit is on top of the case, behind the cylinder. Right under the carb. Its about 1.5-2" long. Cant miss it.
