Thanks, but I already called and they don't have anything bigger than a 41-tooth in any kind of steel including stainless!

Any news on a stainless steel 42 tooth rear sprocket yet? Who makes the best rear aluminum sprockets?

So, can you run a 15t front and 42t rear with the stock ds chain?

Why would you run the 15/42? why not just get a 14 front?

15/42 rocks! Stock chain works and its a BIG improvement over stock gearing with 22in rears. I have heard more than once that the 14 front sprockets tight radius is hard on the 530 chain...chain wear is accelerated. Eaglecollector runs 14/40 and doesn't seem to have any complaints about chain problems though.

The sand is hard on any sprocket. An aluminum sprocket wears much faster then the chain. With stainless, both the sprocket and the chain will wear together plus you have the higher cost and weight. Why not buy two aluminum sprockets and just replace it when it wears out? One chain for every two rear sprockets is a safe combination, after that the chain is most likely streatched and will eat up any new sprocket you put on. Proper chain tension is very important to the life of the sprockets. My .02
