You can read all about it in the Dune Zone in the Project SandTrax series. It's still pretty close to that.

Hightower, I have a good bit of info on my site. Check under photos for pics and maps & directions and a quick rundown of the rules.

I always stay at the resort becasue of the trees and grass - it's a decent place to camp all things considered. It is about 4 or 5 miles from there to Thunder Mountain where the big dunes start and about 10 more miles from Thunder Mountain to Devil's dune. The BLM camp at Egin lakes is being expanded as we type and should be a lot nicer next year. It is pretty much all sand everywhere so don't worry about riding on hardpack except a little near the BLM camps (gravel/sand). BLM and the resort have similar rules such as 5 mph speed limit and 10:00 pm quiet hours. Bring a helmet, OHV sticker and a flag and you're good to go. Rexburg is 20 minutes away in case you need and groceries or parts. St. Anthony is truly the best duning I have ever been to - you won't be disapointed at all. Bring lots of horsepower - you'll need it for to get up the big hills.

No Eraptoid it is not nessessary for the thumpers. You can ride from the resort all the way to Devils dune and back with plenty of playing in between. The 2 strokes have a harder time doing that however. You will love St Anthonys. I just spent 3 days at 4SW's. I finaly got to see alot of Glamis. The dunes between Comp Hill and Olds are somewhat similar to St Anthonys but the bowls at St Anthonys are much, much bigger and the bunes are bigger in general. The bowls at Glamis roll into each other better than St Anthonys but the Dunes at St Anthonys are much, much bigger in size. I already said that didn't I? Be prepaired for a roller coaster of a ride from the lakes to Devils dune. Its way up one side and down you go into the valley and way up the other side over and over, all the while making progress towards Devils Dune and Choke Cherry. The dunes are much, much bigger than Glamis, oh wait, I'm repeating myself again. LOL

This info has got me hard man - I can't hardly stand it!
Tallest dunes I've ever climbed are all under 100ft. Silver Lake MI and Little Sahara OK is it. You guys out west have it made when it comes to sand riding. I hope nobody gets cold feet in the group, because there's gonna be no holding back!
Bo - Randy better be sure to get the upgrade he's talking about on his EX, or he'll be left in the roost!

Hang on there H-T! Randy says he is only riding Utah and is not venturing on to St. Anthony's! You better let him read this thread so he will know what he will be missing!! I wouldn't miss it for the world!! As a matter of a fact, I'm gonna cut back on my jumping between now and then just so I don't injure myself or my quad in the meantime!

I am so damn jealous of you guys out there!! And here we have to drive 24hrs straight to get there! But it will be well worth it in the long run I'm sure!
