I kinda was just dumping it in I guess.... I checked the valve clearances only one exhaust valve seemed .002 bigger than specs looked at the tensioner and chain tightness both looked good. After running for maybe 10 minutes all together I pulled the oil filter again, and had a few shavings in there. I had previously did an oil change, but not sure if they are previous shavings or not. I live near oshkosh wi. It would be great if you were close, but guessing not

Are you just dropping them in hoping they will work or are you breaking them open to see what the problem is? I bought a parts motor about six years ago from a forum member, dropped it in to see what the issue was so I would know where to start once I opened it up. Been running like a charm since that day.
Sitting for long periods with big temperature swings will do a number on the way a bike runs when it's started up for the first time in a long time...
Where are you located? I'd be willing to help you dive in to it if you're close enough.
