Custom Built DS650
#1
I am building a custom DS 650 with an aluminum frame. Need some help on engine selection. I have been thinking about a 2002 Turbocharged fuel injected Honda 900RR motor, or a 2002 800cc rotax 2-stroke(turbo optional) or a big bore kit, RWR Stage 3 kit with an aerocharger. Scooby you seem to be the man in rotax hp any recomendations. Sole purpose of building this machine is to spanke raptors. I have a buddy I ride with he weighs 110lbs and rides a highly modified raptor, he brags about how good he is and how good yamaha is. He spends any amount of money to beat you. Not for long!!!!!!!!!

A 800 twin rotax makes about 140 hp stock at 7950 rpm , the 800 HO about 150 hp..all on pump gas and in a very light package . with some work either will make well over 180hp ..

PSI makes a 995 or a 1080 twin 2 -stroke motor that will kick the crap out of anything out there all day long, GURANTEED!!!! And the beauty part is you can run it all day, everyday for a whole season and not even worry about it. The 995 puts out about 210 or 215 H.P. and the 1080 I beleive put's out 230 h.p. They are pretty pricey though, but they are far superior to any 2-stroke motor anywhere.
