how to wheelie?

Yes it is all about practice. I didn't like learning in first gear because you run out of gear to fast. Try in second it is a little easier. Don't worry about shifting yet try to learn the balance point first. When you find the balance point the quad will feel weightless. practice on smooth level ground. I learned on the road. If on the road make sure tire pressure is the same in both rear wheels this will keep you from wondering to one side or another. When you get good and you are doing 4th and 5th gear wheelies as long as your moving pretty good you can just turn your front wheels and the wind hitting them will drift your bike from side to side its weird how it works but it does as long as you are going fast enough. Also you might want to try standing up to, rather then sitting.

Wear your helmet,!!!!! and all the other protective gear if you have it. And always have your foot slightly on the rear brake in case you get past the balancing point, you can the rear brake ad bring the front down.
A good wheely king uses both throttle and brake.

When I first started doing wheelies I did one in 2nd and it killed. To this day I dont know how it happend but when the front went sailing towards the grond it flung me forward and lets just say I wish they had put the gas cap a little farther forward..

The reason people go left or right during wheelies is that they have unequal pressure in the rear tires. Make sure both seem the right amount of air. I wish someone made a long tube that had tire nozzle fittings so that you could equalize the pressure.
If you are having trouble on grass/offroad because of too much torque, you may have an easier time on pavement.
