Default Thumb Throttle VS Twist Throttle

I'm useing a twist, and thats only because my DS stays in the sand. For trails/mx and woods, I'd diffenitly stick with the thumb. What I find out was that when I began getting nutz in the dirt, sometimes I would have a hard time getting off the throttle with a twist, due becuase I was trying to hold on for dear life LOL. True though, others will probebly agree. In the sand however, I havn't gotten myself into that situation. I've been driving motorcycles for a long time, I thought I would have a hard time getting used to a thumb throttle, it seemed odd at first but you get used to it, have fun, later, Putt

Default Thumb Throttle VS Twist Throttle

I have the lectron carb and I'm using a twist, not my first option but now I like it. I thumb throttle that worked with my carb was almost $150.00. I spent a lot less than that on the twist. I love it now. I don't do a lot of trail riding.

Its all about personal preferance, take a look at the pro's its about 50/50, the guys like myself who grew up on dirtbikes and have later gone to quads, cant figure the thumb throttle thing out, gotta have the twist, if you reallly know how to use them then you wont get yourself on the gas when you hit a bump/jump etc, (the secret is hand vs wrist postion.... you rotate your wrist up high when attackin the whoops so if you get pulled back you close the throttle, not open it..............)
Bottom line is........ If you dont have experiance with twists, i stick with thumb.

Default Thumb Throttle VS Twist Throttle

How does a twist throttle do going over the whoops is it harder to control speed, and when you land from a jump do you ever just twist your hand?
