Thumb Throttle VS Twist Throttle
Never ridden anything before the DS, so thumb is the way to go for me, just cause I'm used to it. One thing to note is that with the stock carb it was an easy pull, however, now that I've got the HSR45 on it, my thumb certainly does get a workout. WIll need to invent some exercises to strengthen the thumb.

Thumb Throttle VS Twist Throttle
I only did a small amount of motorcycle riding before getting on an ATV & the thumb throttle is my choice. As it has been said before, 90% of the people who did a lot of dirt bike riding can use a twist throttle without any problems & enjoy it a lot more.
I've rode an ATV with a twist throttle, it's easy to use when your in easy situations however I didn't like it well enough to use it more than one ride.
One thing that can be done to make a throttle easier to pull is to use a grinder on the sides of a spring, thus making the diameter of the spiraled wire smaller & removing some of it's strength. If you merely shorten the spring, you actually make it stiffer.
