Default Bore VS Stroke

Which makes do you think makes more power? A 3mm bore or 3mm stroke?

I have read that it is better to have the piston at top dead center and bottom dead center longer.

Hope this helps.

the only thing that makes a piston stay at TDC longer is a longer rod.

stroke will build more power.

You are very right DSMike, but it can be expensive as well. Really anything that you do to an engine whether it my be changing the bore or stroke or even adding a longer rod, it will be expensive.

I guess changing the bore seems to be the most popular choice.

IS it also true the close a motor is to square the power it can rev and the more power it will make?
