Default MBRP race slip-on V/S std slip-on???

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has compared the MBRP race to the MBRP std slip-on? I know the race is louder, but how does it compare power wise?
Do most riding areas require the use of a spark arrester? I plan to run my DS at the drags and some local/semi local riding areas(Maybe Mena)/ trails and don't wanna get turned away for no spark arrester. If they don't require it, i would rather not have it....
I just ordered a full MBRP system w/ std slip-on w/ spark arrester. The spark arrester is removable, but if i don't need it i'm wondering if i would rather have the race slip-on? As of now, my DS is totally stk. I do plan to add a jet kit and clamp-on K&N when i add the pipe. Next mods will be CDI, Carb(45) then maybe cams and port work later....

Any suggestions???

Thanks,
-Mark

Those are the options I’m considering myself; I'd like to go with the full race system ideally. Maybe you know and I don't, but can't the Race system be ordered with the spark arrestor? A Spark Arrestor is a MUST to ride in many places in CA, so there is no way I can order something without one. I have heard that most other states aren't nearly as worried about the spark arrestor though so you might be OK without one. You might try to find your local BLM and see what the rules are for ATVs in your favorite riding areas. One of the features I really like about the MBRP pipes is that they are notably quieter than most other systems – I really don’t need to get a headache from riding, I just want more power & enjoy it as well.

Which pipe dyno's better, Will the race pipe have to much flow for a motor with only bolt on parts like a carb and cdi. Or do you have to have internal mods for it. Thanx

If MBRP wants to send me both systems I'll dyno them both on my stage 3 in a couple weeks.....Hint hint.....
