Default Drag racing asphalt tires.

Where can I get a set of drag race tires for my DS? Doesn't Hoosier make some dirt track tires that can be used? Are they speed rated?

Hoosier makes some slicks that can be used or you can use their dirt track tires. Mickey Thompson also has slicks that will work. Only problem is the biggest I have found that will work are 19" tall, they are designed for the JR. dragsters

Of course, Jr dragster tires. Why the heck didn't I think of that. That should make it a lot easier to find some tires local then. Thanks a lot.

Slow down there......

On the slicks for the Jr. Dragsters, they only come in 8"rims. So to have these, you have to have your hubs re-worked so that they have a honda or yamaha bolt pattern.

I have a set of slicks that I just purchased for around $40.00 a tire (give or take) that are being installed on honda rims.

Also, Hoosier makes some diffferent tires for dirt and asphalt raceing that come in 10" rims. And they come in sizes up to 22" tall. (For those that were at FSW know what I am talking about) But you are looking at over $100.00 a tire for the Hoosiers.

If you want to have your hubs re-worked, e-mail Eric Oldham at Machine shop and tell him wha tyou want done. He will take care of you.

I don't want to have my hubs reworked because I want to be able to swap back and forth from wheels with ITP holeshots to wheels with drag racing tires. I couldn't find any Hoosiers that are 22" tall, where can I find them for a 10" rim?

DSMike has the right link up there.

If you follow it down to the bottom and look at the 69/10/10, those are the 22 inch tires. As Bigger said, those are big tires.

Here is a picture of them.
