Got my KFX 700 Today
#22
i've had the sand skates and thought they pulled the front up thus taking away steering so i go with straight haulers now some 20" and some 22" withe the weight of the ds the haulers help out of the hole.

Got mine today, but won't have a chance to ride it until Thursday or Friday.
Just wanted to say thanks for not talking Sh*t about this quad. I won't mention any one group on these Forums, but there are a bunch of members that just want to talk Trash and concentrate on every little flaw and not even consider the potential of the KFX700. It's also amazing how some of you will addmit that this quad is a contender. To hear others talk, the 700 couldn't beat a Breeze. Anyway, I enjoy your input and your oppinions.
I guess US Big, Slow, Quad riders need to stick together.

I cant wait to see the 700 at the dunes over easter weekend! Maybe by then they will be piped, jetted, filtered and see what they are made of!!! I doubt they would beat me, but as for other piped jetted sport quads, i think ill put my money on the auto, it will achieve the correct speed and gearing up comp hill and will have a big advantage over people who havnt changed gears perfectly for the hills.

HMF engineering has them available as of the 15th of this month. A single slip-on or a Dual exhaust slip-on! You pick! They said they will not make head pipes because they are to costly to make and they said probably no one else will either. But HMF makes damn good pipes!!! I will attest to that.

One thing to watch with HMF is USFS Approved. If you go to a public area that checks for spark arrestor you may want to do a little checking into the HMF. Hate to see you get one then not be able to ride.

I just bought my KFX 700 today...Orange. Man does that V twin sound sweet!!!!. I ripped around the dealers lot in the floor model as mine will not be in for a week or 2. I have had TONS of experiance with tuning CVT's in sleds and that was a deciding factor in choising the 700. I am a big guy, 6"4" 280lbs so throwing it around in the trails should be no problem. Currently there are no after market parts but Kawie stated they would have some at release date back in December. As far as the wheelie issue goes, when I got off my a@@ and lean forward as I hammered it, it stayed down The dealer almost had to put out a spike belt to get me to stop rippin up the dirt!!

Keep in mine, before buying tires, that the size of the tire will play a big role in the top speed that you will have as you find ways to increase power. There are no sprockets to change as on a standard. By buying oversize tires, (taller), you will increase the distance traveled in one rev. and rate of speed.
Not knowing anything about hill racing on sand, I am not recommending buying taller tires, but I would at least research it before buying.
